Hilarious! I loved the "my kids are upstairs and the dog is slee-eeping" song : ) I feel that way a lot. Thank GOD school is starting soon --- they've fought and screamed and thrown toys (and one of the girls gave the other a black eye this week) and TORN DOWN THE LIVING ROOM CURTAINS for heaven's sakes. They're on no-tv-no-computer punishment for that, and I think they're having the best time playing together that they've had in weeks. Ah, my wonderful horrible children. Of course I will cry when I take the little one to Montessori school for the first time, and she'll cry, and we'll both be sobbing, but inside a little, tiny, tiny part of me will be going {hooray! hooray!}.

The elusive but ubiquitous happy dance / personal party phenomenon is a great thing to have a recording of.
