Hey Folks,
Another busy month. Here's what's up at
WildVoice.com.
The New Pop-up Player!
There are new play options when you listen to shows
on WildVoice. The all new shiny silver "Play"
button launches a new pop-up window with a custom
WildVoice player in it. Why? well, now you can keep
listening while you browse the site. Also, you can
use the slider to fast-forward or rewind. So, now you
can listen when you want and listen to the part
you want.
Here is a quick sample, you'll see each post has
buttons labeled "Play",
"Download", and "Preview".
Clicking "Play" launches the pop-up
player and plays the show.
Clicking "Download" links directly to
the show's audio file. Depending on your browser
setup, this may ask you where to save the file, or
it may launch your default player, like Windows
Media Player or QuickTime, to play the show.
(Tip: If clicking "Download" opens your
default player but you want to save the file,
Right-click "Download" and choose
"Save As".)
The "Preview" button will play the show
right in the current page, but if you browse away
from the page, the player will stop.
Improved File Upload!
We've re-worked our upload system, so uploads are
more reliable. We've also added a pop-up progress
display, so you'll know how your upload is going
and whether you have time to run to the fridge
(or mow the lawn, if you're one of the lucky
people still using dial-up).
While the file uploads, you'll see this lovely
(or perhaps wicked, if you're using dial-up)
little status and progress window.
