Occasionally a Podcast will sound like "chipmunks" speaking when played back with the WildVoice player. MP3 files that are not encoded at a sample rate that is a multiple of 11025Hz (11.025kHz) are not supported by Macromedia Flash (used by the WildVoice player). This will result with a chipmunk-like playback of audio. The Podcast will play correctly when you download the Podcast to your computer's media player like iTunes, or Windows Media Player, or to an MP3 player like an iPod.
You can avoid this problem by recording with either the WildVoice StudioTM or WildVoiceTM Shout recorder. If you are using other recording software, set the sample rate to a multiple of 11025 when encoding to an MP3 file. 44.1Khz is the most common setting for audio recording since this is used by the music industry for audio CD recordings.
