When WildVoice starts up you’ll see the Studio Panel

Let’s take a quick tour of the studio panel.
The studio panel has five sections:
1. Mixer – the mixer lets you control the audio levels for both what you record and what you hear.
- Master – controls the level of your recording. Use the slider to keep it out of the red.
- Cart/SFX – controls the level of the sound effects and “Carts” that you play in the Studio. Adjust the Cart/SFX level to mix your microphone level with the sound effects or carts you intend to use.
- Producer – A producer is the DJ or Host of the show. Each producer has a dedicated sound device If your PC only has one sound device, you can only have one producer. However, if your PC has multiple sound devices, or you have USB Headsets, you can have multiple producers enabled and do a two-host show. Each producer has a input level control (the slider under the microphone icon) and an output level control (the slider under the headphone icon). Use these sliders to control the producers mic levels and heaphond monitor levels.

Advanced stuff:
If you click the Headphone Settings button under the producer’s sliders you can configure what a producer hears in their headphones. Normally you should set this to
1. Enable Headphone Monitor
2. Hear Myself Directly through Sound hardware.

2. Sound Effects Panel
WildVoice Studio comes with a handy panel of sound effects buttons. Simply click a button to add a sound effect into your recording.

3. Cart Rack
You can add pre-record clips, interview, or songs as “Carts” (short for Cartidges which were compact tape systems used by DJ’s in traditional Radio).

Click the Add Audio Cart and select an audio file from you computer to add to the cart rack. If you expand the cart display you will see the wave form representing the audio file. You can play the audio file and its can be included in your show.

4. Recorder
If you want to record, simply press the record button. Talk, sing, tell jokes, play sound effects, play carts… All of these sources will be recorded by the recorder.

When you’re done recording, click Stop. The recording you just made will be saved as a clip in the show builder.
5. Show Builder
Show builder works with the record to help you craft your show. Each time you click Record, then Stop in recorder, the Audio you just recorder is added to the Show Builder clip list. You can re-order the clips, delete clips, or even add other stored audio files in as their own clips.
When you have the clips you want (and there is nothing wrong with doing a show as a single clip!) and they are in the order you want you can publish a show.
To publish a show first save the show. Go the File menu and select “Save Show”

Select a location to save your show and give the show a name. The show data will be saved as a file with the .WVS extension. The Audio files that make your show will be saved in the diretory with the name of your show.

Now go to the File Menu and select “Publish to MP3 File”

This will let you save the file in MP3 format ready to publish as part of a Podcast. An MP3 file will be created and saved in the Show Directory that you made when you saved the show.does
